Conversion of The Garage in Braddock, PA into a camera obscura, various detritus
found around the exhibition site
The outside portion of this one-day installation involves the active construction of a geodesic dome from scraps found in a nearby dumpster. While inside the Garage, one’s eyes needs time to adjust to the low light of the camera obscura. The process of slow materialization of the image by the eye experienced simultaneously with the slow construction of the structure by the hand.
